I went to go shoot a Buddhist statue in Iwate that is rarely shown to the public, known to be a Buddha that protects the region. It is also officially known as an Important Cultural Property.

There is also a World Heritage Site in Iwate called “Hiraizumi” in Iwate – this is a Buddhist treasure that is known for its rarity to have survived. Here, I put my hands together, standing in front of this rare gem that has stayed intact over years and years.
